We have always been big fans of the famous TED.com website, so were very excited in September 2010 to receive a TEDx license enabling us to organise our own local 'mini-TED' conference.

TED is an annual conference in California which attracts thought-leaders, top business people, scientists, engineers, social entrepreneurs, and others to network and exchange ideas. It features talks and demonstrations of new technologies and research by people who are at the forefront of their fields, and many of those talks are available online for everyone else to see. As TED.com has become incredibly successful and popular, a global community has grown up which is dedicated to "ideas worth spreading" in cities worldwide.

TEDxMonga is part of the global community of local activists who are keen to promote new ideas which benefit us all. Our conferences and community activities are designed to attract the smartest, most interesting people to meet each other and share their ideas and insights.
