One of the keys to a good life is to have the right stuff, and none of the wrong stuff. I'm a pretty minimalist kind of guy, and like to keep things as simple as possible. This means that instead of wasting my time shopping, trying to make things work, or getting things fixed, I try to just buy stuff that works properly and make it work as efficiently as possible for my benefit with the minimum of fuss and trouble.
Sadly, this is a lot more difficult than I would like it to be. People seem to go out of their way to ensure that nothing is easy. Technology, in particular, is increasingly difficult to use and often makes life harder rather than setting me free or empowering me. I assume that everyone else has the same problem, so I'm starting to write about the battles as I fight them. Hopefully other people will benefit from reading about my experiences, problems and solutions - and maybe you can tell me about the ways in which you make your stuff work for you!
