It's the end of August and I'm too busy with real life to add much to the site, which is a pity because there's a lot going on and I really need to find time to write everything up.
I'm finally commiting to another PassionQuest month , over a month late, which means I should be adding at least a page a day to the site. And as my "development" goal for the month is to add one new idea a day at my ingeniousity site that's going to be a tall order!
The daily "something that happens to you that makes you happy" is
fairly easy for me now. There are plenty of opportunities to find
something to smile about in my life; from the simple pleasure of
walking the LBFG under a full moon, to the view from the footbridge
over the river near my house, to the everyday sights that set me
thinking about weird stuff. It's all good. This time around, I'm
carrying my camera everywhere I go, and focusing on taking photographs
of things to take delight in. Here's an orchid to start things off. I
found it growing out of a tree by the roadside close to home.
On the same principle, I've also decided to put more energy into my Campaign For Real Beauty
- which means I will be paying particular attention to the people
around me as well as the "environmental factors" that keep us smiling.
So I'll be adding more pics like the one below, if I can be brave
enough to ask complete strangers to let me photograph them!
Focusing on natural beauty
reminds me that I'm in danger of becoming a fat unhealthy old man. I
have spent way too much time recently either sitting in front of a
computer, or sitting in a meeting room, or sitting on trains and
motorbikes. And I've noticed my ability to deal with stress is
fluctuating too.
I'm sure it will be good for me, but I'm really finding it difficult to get started. Announcing it to the world can only help, so please write and encourage me.
And for my future? Well, as I said, I'm adding a new idea to my ingeniousity site every day for the next month. Creativity is a habit, and if you don't develop it then it withers away. I'm quite busy enough with my regular work, so this is a long-term investment.
