Star Translations AG is the third largest translation company in the world, with 48 offices in 31 countries and almost 1000 permanent staff.

I've recently joined Star Taiwan as Creative Director. I don't do translations, my job is to advise clients who are trying to improve the way they communicate with their clients internationally. Simply translating their existing materials is often not the best way forward, as cultural issues mean that what works in Asia often doesn't work in other parts of the world.

In other words, I help to adjust the message. I find ways to help people communicate effectively, which is really not much different from what I do with my students.
