One Hundred Days
It's almost twenty years since I left my own country and started to travel the world seriously. Since then, I have visited over fifty countries and had all kinds of crazy adventures: I've been homeless and unemployed, and slept under bridges; I've swum with dolphins and dived with sharks; I've enjoyed some pretty amazing jobs; been shipwrecked; had many encounters with cultures that didn't "make sense"; met some incredible people; seen and done things most people only dream about; and even been attacked by a Komodo Dragon - and still have the scars to prove it.
Many people have told me in the past that I should write a book, but of course we all know that most books never become a commercial success. It's simply not a good investment to spend all that time on something with such a small chance of success.
But, on the other hand, I do waste an awful lot of time on sites like Facebook - except that it's not really a waste because it fills a need we all share, to communicate. So, I have decided to try an experiment for one hundred days!
Starting today, I will keep away from Facebook and instead I will spend one hour per day writing stories and articles inspired by my past adventures. My aim is to produce one hundred articles, one per day until the end of this year.
So wish me luck, and check in regularly to see how I'm doing!
